Each year at YPrime’s annual Innovation Network Gathering, experts from various fields come together to tackle the toughest challenges in making clinical trials more human-centric and develop innovative solutions. While many ideas from the 2023 Gathering addressed very complex challenges, one concept stood out as an opportunity: improving the site experience with better communication regarding shipments.
The Challenge:
Managing equipment and training materials can be time-consuming and requires strong awareness and involvement from site staff, distracting them from what truly matters—patient care. What we, as vendors, assumed we were doing with technology to help stakeholders often introduced more burden or complexity.
The Solution:
Building on presentations by industry leaders and the collaborative efforts of breakout teams at the Innovation Network Gathering, YPrime understood that the acceptance of tablets and the allocation of specific devices to clinical trials took a significant amount of time for busy site staff. Based on conversations with site leaders and brainstorming at the event, YPrime introduced a more integrated solution to improve the site experience—this multi-faceted solution included a variety of new communications to make things easier on the site, including a specific email alert for incoming shipments. This solved a simple yet time-consuming challenge for sites.
This Supports Site Staff Through:
YPrime’s solution showcases the power of user-centric design in clinical trials. By eliminating the ‘ketchup bottle effect’ of confusing technology access, this solution empowers sites and streamlines data collection, ultimately paving the way for a more efficient and successful clinical trial experience.
