Where is the clinical trial industry heading as we incorporate Artificial Intelligence (AI) in clinical trials?

A few years ago, at YPrime, we started examining how AI can improve the experience for our customers and all stakeholders in the clinical trial ecosystem. When we look at buzzwords on how to improve clinical trials, it is almost always the same—time, speed, patient retention, engagement, and cost. While those buzzwords are certainly true, what can AI do to solve for them?

When we talk about the use of AI in clinical trials, we see data curation as a top priority, quickly followed by the importance of solutions that don’t just tell you what you want to hear. As we examine the use of AI, we must always ensure that patients and humans are in the loop, with AI tools being built for the user.
